Local Social Group Aldercar & Langley Friends is a small local social group dedicated to providing social events and occasions all year round. Staying local, shorter events in a safe and welcoming group or small group longer activities and weekends away. Inspire your social life without breaking the bank. Take a look below.

Aldercar & Langley Mill Parish Festival August 31st 2025, we are looking for stall holders, entertainers, local businesses and volunteers to participate or donate to our Parish scarecrow festival. For more information please click the scarecrow.

Taking on big and small projects to uplift your community.

Garden Benches Would a garden bench help yourself or a loved one get outside? A garden can be another room for a housebound person. Chance to talk to neighbours or watch the world. We look out for old unloved garden benches collect, repair, paint and deliver them to older residents who would benefit from being outside a little more.

Potteries Volunteers Required

We need volunteers! Our new community hub, The Potteries, down at the Acorn Centre needs your help with volunteering. Various hours AM or PM. We do tea/coffee drop in and chat or make use of our library corner, sit and play with the kids, use the loo or sit down and take the weight off for 10 minutes. Craft sessions, stay and play, Chair based exercise, school holiday activities coffee mornings, book club and bingo. Its really all yours so come down, pop in and tell us what you need.
